About Me
Shannise Jackson is an educator, blogger, published writer, and genealogy hobbyist. She explores the intersections of history, faith, mental health, family and community and how they shape personal identity.
She holds an M. Ed in Adult Learning and Development and an MA in New Media Journalism. Her piece Perhaps was published in the Gordon Square Review, a publication of Literary Cleveland, which showcases emerging writers nationwide and internationally.
She embraces the power of testimony to bring encouragement, enlightenment, and inspiration to those hiding in the shadows, to combat the stigma associated with mental health in the Black church and the Black community.
